Management Systems

 

Whether you need your safety or environmental management systems auditing, updating, or even new policies or procedures to be developed, PTS is able to provide a legally compliant system that works for you. 

 

Recent examples developed for other clients include: MAPP, PTW systems, Management of Change, Competence Management Systems, Human Factors, Risk Assessment and PHA...to name but a few!

COMAH

 

Management support and guidance in relation to all aspects of COMAH Management, including:

  • Preparation for planned COMAH intervention visits

  • Gap analysis against best practice and relevant standards

  • Development of responses to regulatory actions or requests for information.

 

Preparation of COMAH Safety Reports in accordance with SRAM and associated HSE Guidance. 

Risk Assessment / PHA

 

PTS offers a range of proven risk assessment techniques, from simple risk assessment to high-level process hazard analysis

 

PTS is able to independently chair formal hazard studies for new / existing plant using a range of techniques (eg. HAZOP, HAZID, PHA, What-if, LOPA) to systematically assess the risks posed. 

 

Where required PTS is able to carry out Cost Benefit Analysis as part of your ALARP Demonstration

Environmental

Environmental impact assessment of existing or new operations in line with published guidance (including CDOIF Methodology for COMAH sites).

Environmental permit applications and variations prepared and submitted. 

 

Technical support to help achieve ISO14001 Environmental Standard. eg. Assessment of Environmental Aspects and Impacts.

Human Factors

​

Formal assessment of human factors using structured methodology, in particular where interaction with process plant may lead to or mitigate a major accident hazard. 

 

Task Analysis and Human Reliability Assessments. 

 

Competence management in relation to the completion of safety critical tasks. 

 

Alarm interface and management reviews. 

DSEAR

Assessment of risks posed by the storage and handling of flammable materials - in accordance with the requirements of the DSEAR Regulations.
